Community Action Agency
Plaquemines Parish Community Action Agency is a public agency established by council resolution in October 1982. The Plaquemines Parish Commission Council designated itself to serve as the official provider of services to the low income, economically disadvantaged elderly and disabled residents of Plaquemines Parish. The Child Support Section (IV-D) provides services to both custodial and non- custodial parents of minor children seeking to establish, enforce, and/or modify child support. This service exists as a result of an agreement between the District Attorney and the State of Louisiana Department of Social Services, to provide support enforcement services to applicants.

Jacob’s Ladder Learning Academy
In just 3 years of operation (Jan. 2011), Jacob's Ladder Learning Academy has provided care to many Plaquemines Parish and the surrounding area children. We are a small Child care center that is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has a 4 star rating (out of 5) in Belle Chasse to become the only child care provider in Plaquemines Parish to have this rating from the State of Louisiana Quality Start Child Care Rating System. Jacobs Ladder provides high quality education and care in a positive and nurturing environment centered on the development of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children from a variety of racial and social-economic backgrounds.
